There are 6,520,314 Bulgarians living in the country, or 840,000 less than 10 years ago. This was shown by the first results of the population census, which took place between September 7 and October 10 last year. Negative demographic trends are deepening - population aging, depopulation in some areas, negative natural growth and migration processes.
