Former students of Prof. Elisaveta Kazakova and their alumni perform a concert in memory of the great Plovdiv violinist

The Art in Time Association invites Plovdiv residents and guests to a chamber concert "Teachers and Students - Memory of Prof. Elisaveta Kazakova". The event will take place on June 22, 2022, from 6.30 pm, in the Exhibition Hall of the State Archives Department - Plovdiv at 11 Krakra Street. Admission is free! The concert is supported by the Municipality of Plovdiv and is part of the Cultural Calendar of the city for 2022.

The project "Teachers and students - memory of Prof. Elisaveta Kazakova" explores the theme of continuity between generations, paying tribute to this remarkable Bulgarian violinist, a native of Plovdiv, a graduate of the Plovdiv Music School, a teacher who has built hundreds of musicians.

The concert program features her former students Evgenia Nocheva and Pavel Genov, now violin teachers at NUMTI "Dobrin Petkov", and their students; Valentina Trendafilova (soprano), Darina Ivanova (flute), Nikola Nikolov (cello) and Zlatelina Kolarova (piano). They will perform works by J.S. Bach, Handel, Wieniawski, Tchaikovsky, P. Hristoskov and others.

Born in 1948 in Plovdiv, Prof. Elisaveta Kazakova began studying violin at the age of six with Petar Stanchev. At the age of 11 she was a soloist of the Plovdiv Philharmonic under the direction of Dobrin Petkov, Ivan Spasov and Mesru Mehmedov.

He graduated from the State Academy of Music with Prof. Georgi Badev, then specialized with Prof. Petar Hristoskov. After 1977 he was a full professor at the National Academy of Music "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov".

During her long career Prof. Elisaveta Kazakova has won laureates and awards from prestigious competitions, visited with great success at established festivals around the world. He also performs actively as a soloist in many orchestras in Bulgaria.

Fans of classical music will remember her as a performer with precise and mastered technique, but also with a bright personality and strong personal style.

For the rest of his life, in November 2021, he thought about his students and made plans for his classes during the coming school year.
