Another young talent from Plovdiv - 11-year-old Yordan Popov, a graduate of NUMTI "Dobrin Petkov" - Plovdiv from Elena Taseva's piano class, returned from participation in the Music Academy - Lilienfeld, thanks to the support of the "Flights" program of the Plovdiv Foundation 2019".

The academy, which took place from July 3-10 in the beautiful town of Lilienfeld, Lower Austria, has been organized for 44 years without interruption.

The young talent from Plovdiv had the unique opportunity to participate in the Music Academy, together with more than 50 participants from different nationalities – Austria, Italy, Russia, China, etc. He joined the master class of the famous piano teacher Alexander Geberovich, a long-time teacher at one of the most prestigious Academies in Vienna - Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst, Wien. The daily activities of the young musicians took place in the medieval Lilienfeld monastery, founded in 1202 by Leopold IV, Duke of Austria and Styria.

It is important to note that the Austrian school of classical music is the best in the world and sets the world's recognized standards in performances and interpretations of classical authors.

Jordan was selected to play at the Academy's closing concert, held in the imposing Dormitorium, where he performed Mozart's Sonata No. 12, F-Dur, KV 332.

The creative path of Yordan Popov is relatively short because his first contact with the piano was on 15.09.2017 when he was only in the first grade. Thanks to the exceptional pedagogical and professional work of Elena Taseva and the teacher of solfege Tsvetelina Semerdzhieva, as well as the understanding and cooperation of the director Neli Popova-Koeva, he already has behind him thirty-one competitions, one music academy and works with three internationally recognized the piano professors – one from Bulgaria and two from Austria.
